TEACHING METHODOLOGY

As part of running my daycare, I provide developmentally age appropriate materials to the kids as well as I conduct daily observations of children in my care and track their progress to cover all domains i.e. language, social, emotional, fine motor and gross motor skills. I strongly believes Children are like sponges absorbing whatever they are exposed to and providing a nurturing environment can stimulate their natural intelligence and can create a strong foundation for their future.

Having an experience from both Montessori and play based method, I can observe the child and see what is best for children's individual development. I provide both Montessori and play based curriculum to the child and let them explore their interest.

Montessori preschools have lots of concrete learning. Kids work with a wide range of concrete materials, including manipulative, which are self-correcting puzzles. Montessori methods are child directed and makes the child independent. Concrete learning tends to engage many of one’s senses. This can improve memory and reasoning, and inspire a love of learning.

In Play based method, Kids can choose from a wide range of open-ended activities. They spend lots of time interacting and playing with their peers. This is often pretend or imaginative play, such as playing dress-up or playing with dolls or figurines. Through play they learn social skills, such as cooperation and negotiation. They also learn to problem-solve and reflect about themselves, others, and the environment.
